Wisconsin pro-Israel gathering slated for Sunday

A partnership of agencies and programs in Wisconsin is organizing a pro-Israel public gathering, as the current crisis in Israel continues to escalate.

“Our Wisconsin Jewish community is watching in despair as we observe our Israeli family living in grave danger,” read a Milwaukee Jewish Federation statement issued Tuesday, May 13.

The public gathering will be held virtually at 1 p.m., Sunday, May 16. It will include a presentation by Israeli Yossi Klein Halevi, author of “Letters to my Palestinian Neighbor,” the New York Times bestseller.

The event will also include Rabbi and former Milwaukee Community Shaliach Nir Barkin, a prayer for the State of Israel, and other representatives of Milwaukee and Israel.

The event is to bring people together to show solidarity as a community and to learn about what is happening on the ground.

There will be no charge to attend. To attend, visit StudioGear.events/Israel.
