Bat Mitzvah

Olivia (Livi) Tamar Cayle

Olivia (Livi) Tamar Cayle will celebrate becoming a bat mitzvah, virtually, on April 24, 2021.

After postponing her original May 2, 2020, Bat Mitzvah, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, she will finally be joined by proud parents Sandi Deshur and Brian Cayle, siblings Alexander and Lauren, grandparents Penny and Jim Deshur, and many other relatives and friends via Zoom. As a Bayside eighth grader at the Milwaukee Jewish Day School, Livi enjoys science, playing on the volleyball team, playing on the tennis team, and participating in cooking classes. She spends her summers boating and attending camp at The University School and JCC Rainbow Day Camp. Giving back to the community and volunteering her time are important to Livi. She serves on the board of The Friendship Circle. Livi’s mitzvah project aims to help children who are struggling to afford basic school supplies. She is collecting and donating school supplies to refugees here in Milwaukee, as well as to students at the Ganako Primary School in Karatu, Tanzania, where she will be personally delivering them this coming summer when she can hopefully travel with her family to Africa. Consider helping Livi further her goal by donating any type of school supply (pencils, pens, binders, folders, spirals, markers, loose leaf paper, etc.) or by making a monetary contribution that will be used to purchase additional supplies.
