Quote from former Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsberg in 2019:

“Among jurists I have encountered in the United States and abroad, Shirley Abrahamson is the very best, the most courageous and sage.”

Abrahamson once told the Chronicle:

“[My mother] was a good Jewish mother. She told me how wise she was that she got to the United States in time for me to be born here, so that I would be eligible to be president of the United States.”
