Darlene J. Ausman
Darlene J. Ausman, of Fox Point, passed away on June 20 at the age of 85 years and was laid to rest on June 23. She was the beloved wife of (the late) Kenneth Ausman and cherished mother of Kraig (Rita) Ausman and Loribeth (Todd) Hutchison. Loving grandmother of Kevin (Robin), T.J., Kelli Ausman and Aylah (Marshal) Povlick. Also survived by other relatives and many treasured friends. The family wishes to especially thank Ted Pittleman for his loving companionship and support these past years. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the MACC Fund would be appreciated. Kenneth J. Bahcall
Kenneth J. Bahcall of Milwaukee died July 22. He was 62.
Kenneth was born in Milwaukee. He attended Nicolet High School and then the University of Wisconsin. He worked in printing for many years.
He’s remembered as a very kind man, likable and nice to be with. Kenneth enjoyed all types of sports. He loved family trips, including ski trips to Aspen, Colorado and fishing trips to Canada. Kenneth will be dearly missed.
He is survived by his mother, Barbara Bahcall Himes; brothers, Dr. James Bahcall (Amy) and Steven Bahcall (Kiersten); nieces, Allie Bahcall and Jamie Bahcall; stepbrother, Rick Himes and cousin Cathy Sherman. Kenneth was predeceased by his father, Albert Bahcall.
Blaine Goodman assisted the family, with a private burial with Second Home Cemetery, with Rabbi Noah Chertkoff.

Barry Forrest Bruskin
Barry Forrest Bruskin, age 70, of Bayside, died on July 23, 2020, peacefully in his home of 37 years, surrounded by his family.
Barry was born in Milwaukee on April 10, 1950, to parents, Irwin and Perlanne, and his sister, Holly. He attended Nicolet High School and attained his bachelor’s degree with honors from the University of Wisconsin, followed by his J.D. from Marquette University. Barry began his career as a defense attorney, and then became a dedicated employee at Traveler’s Insurance, where he worked for 27 years.
Barry had a passion for learning and for the arts. He and his wife, Felice, attended almost weekly lectures and theater productions. He was named volunteer of the year at Jewish Family Services after dedicating many years volunteering with the ESL program for Russian immigrant families and with Our Next Generation, coordinated through his synagogue. Barry has been a lifelong member of Congregation Shalom where he and his family remained actively engaged for the duration of his life. He was also interested in genealogy, spending many late nights finding relatives and sharing photos and stories.
Barry is survived by his devoted wife, Felice, of 37 years and his caring sister, Holly (Sid) Williamson. He was a loving father to Asher Bruskin, Tara (Gabriel) Cicarelli, Scott (Kristin) Epstein, and grandfather to Jaclyn, Stephen and Matthew.
Funeral services will be private. A special thank you to the Aurora and Horizon staff who took such great care of Barry throughout his treatments.

Beverly Davidoff (nee Werner)
Beverly Davidoff (nee Werner), of Mequon, passed away due to natural causes on July 28, 2020, at the age of 89. She was proceeded in death by her husband, Sheldon Davidoff.
Beverley went to Washington High School and was a congregation member of The Shul. She was the loving mother of Terri (Larry) Cohodes and Judy (Bill) Ferrer. Judith E. Katz died on July 17, 2020, at the age of 78.

Karen L. Kramer (nee Applebaum), Milwaukee, died July 15, 2020, at the age of 84.

Harold B. Krom
Harold B. Krom, age 90, died on July 26, 2020.
Harold was born on Dec. 11, 1929, in Marshfield, Wisconsin, to Rose (nee Bunin) and Louis Krom of Owen, Wisconsin. The family lived there until 1934 and then moved to Milwaukee. Harold attended and graduated from the Emanuel Philipp School and Rufus King High School. Following a year at the University of Wisconsin at Milwaukee, Harold enlisted in the United States Air Force where he served four years, including 22 months on the island of Guam. Following his discharge from the military, he returned to school and graduated from the University of Wisconsin at Madison. While at the University, he was affiliated with the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity.
Shortly after graduating, Harold moved to Texas and served as the executor of the N.B. Bunin Estate at Brownwood. Harold later returned to school and received his M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University in Dallas. After receiving his MBA, Harold earned his CPA license and worked for the Internal Revenue Service, retiring in 1987 as a Petroleum Industry Program Manager. He was a member of the Texas Society of CPAs for over 50 years as well as the American Institute of CPAs. Following retirement, Harold pursued interests in travel, family history and genealogy. He was an Eagle Scout and an avid Green Bay Packers fan.
Harold is predeceased by brothers, Claire and Donald, and his sister, Jeane Zarne, and his best friend and companion of 20 years, Freda Vogel Bernstein.
He is survived by his brother, David Krom, nephews Michael Krom (Judie), Larry Krom (Shelly), Daniel Zarne and niece Louise Schuckit (William), great nephews, nieces and great-great nephews and nieces. He is also survived by his “adopted” Dallas family, Freda’s 4 children, 9 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. Blane Goodman Funeral Service assisted the family.
Earl Newman
Earl Newman, of Glendale, died peacefully surrounded by family on June 28, 2020, at the age of 87. He was born on May 23, 1933, in Chicago, Illinois to Louis and Lucille Newman (Nee Lewis).
He graduated from University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. In the last 25 years of his career, he was an appraiser for American Appraisal Associates.
Earl was a caring and engaging man, with a zest for life, devoted to family and friends. He was a funny and adventurous gentle giant with a heart of gold known lovingly as ‘Big Earl’ and ‘Big E.’ His diverse interests included photography, cycling, golf, the outdoors, music, theater and his Thursday night poker club.
“His life was gentle; and the elements so mixed in him, that Nature might stand up and say to all the world, THIS WAS A MAN!”
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife, Harriet Rogoza Newman; children, Robert Newman (Betsy), Laurie Newman (Jeff Vogeler), and Abbey Newman (Corey Jakubowicz); grandchildren, Nick Newman, Dan Newman (Claire Johnson), Brad Smith (Josh Westerlund), Brian Smith (Amanda), Millie Jakubowicz; and great-granddaughters, Harper Smith and Alice Newman. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister Barbara Newman.

Charlotte Slater, born Charlotte Edelstein on Feb. 7, 1932, died on July 29, 2020.
Dear wife of the late Martin Slater. Caring mother of Debra Slater, Julie Slater, and Steven (Rochelle) Slater. Loving sister of Marvin Edelstein (Judy, the late Irene), the late Mary (Raymond) Waisman, the late Rachel (Robert) Levin, the late Jerome (Esther) Edwards, and the late Bernard Edelstein, and sister-in-law of the late Al (Kerrie) Slater. Leonida Spakman (nee Valitsky) passed away on August 15th, 2020, at the age of 93.

Gerald Weinberg
Gerald “Jerry” Weinberg, age 93, died on July 19, 2020.
Born in Milwaukee on Nov. 14, 1926, Jerry was a wonderful and caring husband father, grandfather and friend.
He was married to Geraldine “Gerrie” Weinberg for almost 70 years. The night he met her at a party, he went home and told his parents he found the girl he was going to marry. She remained the love of his life until her death in 2018. He is survived by his daughter, Wendy (Warren) Blumenthal, son, Bradd (India) Weinberg, and grandchildren, Lauren Blumenthal, Max (fiancée Kelly Cueto) Blumenthal and Vishnu Weinberg. He is also survived by his twin sister, Jean Lipkin of Rehovot, Israel, along with nieces, nephews and other relatives.
A graduate of Washington High School, Jerry enlisted in the Army at 17 during World War II but was not sent overseas until after the war ended. Stationed in Germany he attended the Nuremberg trials. When returned home he attended art school in Milwaukee. For many years, he was the proprietor of Modern Men’s and Boys’ Wear in West Allis. A longtime resident of Bayside, Jerry was also active in the West Allis business affairs.
Jerry was the man everyone loved and admired for his kindness, warmth and his sense of humor. His friends remained a constant for their lifetimes. His children and grandchildren knew he always was interested in every aspect of their lives. He was a fantastic dancer and claimed to never have had a bad meal in his life.
