Bar Mitzvah

Aidan Alexander Lal

Aidan Alexander Lal became a bar mitzvah on Aug. 8, 2020.

Aidan was called to the Torah with Congregation Sinai, surrounded by family and friends both in person and virtually.

Aidan is the son of Dave and Alysandra (Schwarz) Lal, brother of Layton Lal, 11, and grandson of Gerard and Jody Schwarz, Lillo Way, Raj Lal and the late Brigita Lal. Aidan will be entering 8th grade at Whitefish Bay Middle School in the fall. He is a passionate rock climber and member of the Adventure Rock climbing team. Because of his love for climbing, Aidan chose to volunteer with Adaptive Climbing at Adventure Rock Climbing Gym for his mitzvah project. The group couples Aidan’s love for rock climbing and his interest in science and engineering by working with climbers who have physical disabilities to allow them to climb rock walls. The volunteers may climb on either side of a differently able climber and/or use specialized belay systems to allow the climbers to participate in the joy of rock climbing.

Aidan and his family would like to thank Rabbi David Cohen, Cantor Richard Newman, Tzvia Heifetz, Brian Avner, Karen Berk, Jen Friedman, Jeri Danz and the entire Sinai family and faculty.
