Ovation communities suspends nonessential visits

Ovation Communities, which operates Milwaukee-area senior communities with a Jewish focus, has suspended all nonessential visits. 

Essential visitation includes facility employees, contractors and consultants who are needed to run operations and meet residents’ needs. Immediate family and friends may visit for critical or time-sensitive reasons, like hospice-related visits and medical authorizations.  

Visitors will be instructed to limit their movement within the facility. 

These changes apply to all the communities — Sarah Chudnow, Chai Point and Jewish Home. 

“Our resident’s safety and well-being remain our top priority every day. Please know that at this time there is no active community-spread illness at any of our Ovation Communities,” wrote Ovation Communities President and CEO Michael I. Sattell in an email to families and others. “Our decision-making is guided by directives from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS).”
