Bader Hillel

BHA, along with other area schools, will begin an extended school dismissal and will transition to online classes beginning Tuesday, March 17th. 

BBYO-Wisconsin Region 

All local, in-person events. This includes an ADL event scheduled for March 18.

Congregation Shalom

Breaking Hate: Confronting the New Culture of Extremism w/ Author Christian Picciolini is canceled.

Congregation Shir Hadash

Friday, March 13 Shabbat will be service only, no potluck. 

Congregation Sinai

Beginning on Friday, March 13th, Congregation Sinai will suspend all on-site activities including:
• All Youth Education Programs
• B’nei Mitzvah tutoring
• meetings
• classes
• Mitzvah Day
• Saturday morning service,Torah Study, Shabbat Vayinafash
• Monday Men’s Discussion Group
• And all other programs
Individual and group meetings will be conducted online. Friday night services at 6 p.m. on March 13, and those through the end of March, will be streamed live.

Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center

In response to the community spread of the coronavirus, the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will temporarily close all JCC buildings starting at 7 p.m. on Saturday, March 14, with a scheduled reopening on April 17.

Hillel Milwaukee

Hillel Milwaukee building is closed. The team is working remotely on plans to stay connected with students.

Jewish Heritage Night with the Milwaukee Bucks

This is canceled. 

Jewish Museum Milwaukee

The museum is temporarily closed and has canceled the following programs:

  • Ghetto Chronicles II-Life and death in the Lodz Ghetto-March 26
  • How to Talk to your Kids about the Holocaust -April 1
  • Ghetto Chronicles III- Invention of Place and History of an Idea
  • SPARK! Cultural Programming for People with Memory Loss-April 3

Lomed Lunch and Learn

March 31 is canceled. 

Milwaukee Jewish Day School

The free Ed Talk, “Helping Our Children Develop a Moral Identity: Effective Parenting Practices,” slated for Tuesday, March 24, is postponed. A new date has not yet been set. For more information contact Dana Hartenstein, 414-967-8314 or DHartenstein@Mjds.org. 

Milwaukee Jewish Day School is temporarily halting in-person classes, replacing them with an “extended distance learning plan,” starting Monday, March 16, 2020. The current plan is for a return to classes on Monday, April 20. 

Synagogue religious schools

All Milwaukee-area synagogue religious schools are closed. 

Torah Academy of Milwaukee 

The Torah Academy of Milwaukee banquet scheduled for Monday, March 16 is postponed. TAM said it looks forward to the end of this pandemic and being able to give the true honor to Beth Meister, Chaya Tabor, and Chagi Katz. Quesitons: Trudy.Farber@TorahAcademyMil.org
