Lake Park Synagogue hosts Rabbi Zvi Grumet

Lake Park Synagogue is hosting a Shabbaton with Rabbi Zvi Grumet from April 24-26, 2020.

Services will begin at 6 p.m. Friday followed by dessert and a talk led by Rabbi Zvi Grumet. His main sermon will be on Saturday morning. Lox n’ Learn, a bagel breakfast and presentation from Grumet on topics related to his book on Genesis, will be held on Sunday.

According to Lake Park Synagogue’s Rabbi Joel Dinin, Grumet’s book is “very, very special.”

“I have never seen a more comprehensive, enjoyable, compelling and accessible treatment of any book of the Torah. He has inspired some of my most powerful and effectives sermons,” Dinin said.

You will be able to buy his book and get it signed on Sunday. As for the whole weekend, you can choose to come to some or all of the talks and meals. If you would like to attend the Friday night dinner, the cost is $18 for members and $25 for non-members. The Saturday buffet lunch is $5 for members and $10 for non-members. Sunday’s breakfast is $8 for members and $12 for non-members.
