Federation Annual Meeting to honor outgoing board chair

Mother and daughter duo Carrie Steinberger and Taylor Steinberger will co-chair this year’s Milwaukee Jewish Federation Annual Meeting and they invite the community to join the celebration on Wednesday, Aug. 15.

The program will include recognition of outgoing Board Chair Andrea Schneider and incoming Board Chair Moshe Katz, a year in review, remarks from teens on creating Jewish identity and recognition of outgoing board members.

Held at Congregation Sinai, 8223 N. Port Washington Road, this free event begins with a dessert and wine reception (dietary laws observed) at 6:30 p.m., followed by the program from 7:15-8:15 p.m.

Milwaukee Jewish Federation Annual Meeting Co-Chairs Carrie Steinberger and Taylor Steinberger encourage the community to celebrate with them on Aug. 15.

Local teens will share their experiences from the inaugural year of the Milwaukee Jewish Teen Philanthropy Board, along with creating Jewish identity through the many Federation-supported programs from birth through young adulthood.

The year in review — including a video — will showcase another successful year made possible by the dedicated local Jewish community and how Annual Campaign funds and volunteers continue to bring the community from strength to strength. Highlights include: developing financial support, creating Israel connections, pursuing a just world, leadership development, Jewish education and crisis response.

Service recognition for outgoing volunteer chairs: Judy Coran, two years as Women’s Campaign chair; Eileen Graves, three years as Women’s Philanthropy president; Moshe Katz, two years as Development Committee chair; Sharyl Paley, three years as Israel & Overseas Committee chair; and David Werner, two years as Finance Committee chair.

Recognition for outgoing volunteer board members: Dan Bader, Mark Brickman, Steve Chernof, Mark Goldstein, Betsy Green, Marlene Lauwasser and Marci Taxman.
