Betty Koren

Betty Koren of Glendale died April 12, 2018. She was 94.

Koren was born June 16, 1923 in Boston.

She was a member of Congregation Beth Jehudah and served as president of Westwood Hadassah. She was a supporter of both Hadassah and Na’Amat.

She worked as a secretary and was employed by the Jewish Community Center. Special interests included Hadassah, traveling, cooking and, of course, family. Survivors include husband Seymour Koren and sons Allen and Michael (Tova) Koren, among others.

Burial was at Second Home Cemetery on April 13 with Rabbi Michel Twerski and Goodman-Bensman Funeral Home. Memorial donations may be sent to Hadassah.

Morton Reuben

Morton Reuben died April 7, 2018 at the age of 92.

Beloved husband of Rosalyn Reuben (nee Fisher). Cherished father of Gayle (Alan Lever) Reuben, Barbara (Barry) Stivers, Larry (Carmen Ploetz) Reuben, Carolyn (Bradley) Kimmel, and Stacy (Michael) Dahl. Loving grandfather of Michael (Sara) Reuben; Austin Reuben; Adam (Linsey), Sari, and Ryan (Susie) Kimmel; Spencer and Ava Dahl. “Super Pop” of Samantha Kimmel. Dear brother of Donald “Buddy” (Susan) Reuben and Leatrice (Lewis) Marshak.

Morton proudly served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was a recipient of the Purple Heart, injured during the Battle of the Bulge.

Funeral services were held April 9 at Temple Menorah, with burial at Beth Hamedrosh Hagodel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the charity of your choice appreciated. Goodman-Bensman Whitefish Bay Funeral Home provided funeral services.
