Menorah rummage sale

Sale features new and gently used items for purchase. New this year is an area devoted to collectibles. Major appliances and fine furniture included. Bags of clothing priced at $7. To benefit the Temple Menorah religious school and provide scholarships, plus programs for senior citizens and the Ezra Fund for people in need in Milwaukee. Israel Scouts

The Israel Scouts Friendship Caravan will appear 6-7 p.m. on July 6, brought to town by the Milwaukee Jewish Federation’s Israel Center. The Scouts will entertain for all ages with singing, dancing and personal stories. Free, rain or shine at the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd. in Whitefish Bay. The performance is in partnership with the JCC’s Summer Festival Series, which runs from 5-8 p.m. and will include food truck items available for purchase and family activities. Waukesha Shabbat

A Shabbat hike will be held July 8 as part of Congregation Emanu-El of Waukesha’s Meetup activities. Hikers will meet at 10 a.m. at the front of the Retzer Nature Center’s welcome building, S14 W28167 Madison St., Waukesha. The hike is open to the public. Neighborhoods at museum

Steve Solochek Memorial Lecture Series Presents “East Side, West Side: A History of Milwaukee Neighborhoods” with John Gurda. While neighborhoods change, traces of early Milwaukee settlements persist in the local landscape. Join historian and author John Gurda for a walk down memory lane through the streets of Milwaukee. 7 p.m., July 12. Waukesha Frisbee golf

A Frisbee golf and picnic at Wales Community Park on July 16. Part of Congregation Emanu-El of Waukesha’s Meet-up activities, in which CEEW members and friends meet up with others in the community who have similar interests. Frisbee golf starts 2 p.m. Bring your own Frisbee, but there will be extras for those who need them. A light meal will follow with a choice of corned beef or turkey sandwiches, chips and soda. $12. Chudnow Founder’s Day

Fifth Annual Founder’s Day at the Chudnow Museum of Yesteryear, 839 N. 11th St., Milwaukee, July 23, noon to 5 p.m. Join the museum in celebrating its fifth anniversary during its Avrum Chudnow Founder’s Day. This will be the museum’s biggest ever event, with outside and indoor activities including music, food (kosher and vegan available), comedy, vintage cars and museum exhibits of shops and stores of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and United States history of the 1910s through 1940s. Rosenblatts at museum

“It Runs in the Family: Art and the Rosenblatts,” 7 p.m., Aug. 2. Adolph Rosenblatt, husband, father, artist and educator, inspired his entire family to pursue individual artistic visions. Join Jewish Museum Milwaukee for a panel discussion detailing the artistic endeavors of the Rosenblatt family. Wife Suzanne, sons Eli and Joshua, and daughter Sarah, will talk about growing up with art as a central part of their lives and how Adolph’s life, philosophy and legacy influences their creative endeavors to this day. Milwaukee Jewish Federation Annual Meeting

Come celebrate “We Are Family” at the Milwaukee Jewish Federation Annual Meeting on Thursday, Aug. 10 at Congregation Sinai, 8223 N. Port Washington Road, Fox Point. Free and open to all. ONGOING HEALTH & SUPPORT

Alcoholics Anonymous

An international fellowship of men and women who have had a drinking problem. Meetings are held at multiple times and locations around the city, including 7 p.m. Monday night, Chabad-Lubavitch, 3901 N. Lake Drive, Milwaukee. Friendship House Fellowship

A support group for Jewish men and women in recovery from addiction to alcohol or other substances. Requirements for membership are participation in a 12-step program (such as AA or Narcotics Anonymous) and a desire to recover. Meetings are Tuesday, 6:30 p.m. at The Shul, 3901 N. Lake Drive in Milwaukee.

Jewish Family Services

Outpatient mental health services to people dealing with personal problems and mental health issues. Contact Beth Shapiro, intake coordinator, at 414-390-5800. JFS is located at 1300 N. Jackson St., Milwaukee.

Jewish Grief Group

The Jewish Grief Group, under the auspices of Jewish Family Services, is open to all. Wednesdays, 12 – 1 p.m. It rotates among three local synagogues. Call Beth at Jewish Family Services, 414-390-5800, to register.
