Gerald Borsuk, a Madison musician and teacher, died Jan. 30, 2016. He was 95.
The Chai Point resident, with 8 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, was born Jan. 2, 1921 in Madison.
He graduated from Madison West High School in 1938 and from the University of Wisconsin–Madison in 1942, with a bachelor’s in music. He became a musician, performing on, teaching and tuning pianos in Madison for more than 60 years. He played frequently at Chai Point, too.
He is survived by Lorraine Sweet Borsuk, along with sons Paul Borsuk of New York City, Alan Borsuk of Milwaukee and Richard Borsuk of Singapore.
Burial was Feb. 1, 2016 at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison with Rabbi Chaim Twerski. The funeral home was Goodman-Bensman.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Jewish Home and Care Center or Yeshiva Elementary School.
