Food donations for the Community Passover Food Drive (Ma’ot Chittim) will be collected April 1-12 at several collection sites, including the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.
Products needed, which must have kosher certification for Passover: matzo, gefilte fish (cans preferred), chicken soup/matzo ball mix and 22 oz. grape juice. These basic items will then be supplemented with additional traditional Passover items. In 2015, the drive was able to serve 600 individuals and families.
Monetary contributions will be used to purchase food items. Make checks payable to “Jewish Community Pantry” with the notation “Passover Campaign.” Mail checks Dorene Paley, Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Milwaukee, WI 53217.
Volunteers are needed, and families are welcome, on April 17 from 9-11 a.m. or 10:45 a.m.–12:45 p.m. to sort and distribute food.
