Guide to Jewish Milwaukee for seniors is now available

Many Jewish baby boomers are planning for their senior years, and so is the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.

MJF convened a task force to determine how the Jewish community can help meet the needs of its aging population. (See April 2014 Chronicle.) The task force consisted of professionals from three MJF partner agencies: the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, Jewish Family Services and the Jewish Home & Care Center.

Fortunately, Milwaukee offers a wide range of programs and services for Jewish seniors. Unfortunately, many seniors are unaware of these offerings.

In an effort to increase awareness, MJF has published a 32-page “Seniors’ Guide to JewishMilwaukee.”

The guide is a connection to Jewish senior living, activities, supportive care, religious life and more.

It is available at Chai Point Senior Living, the Harry & Rose Samson Family JCC, Jewish Family Services, the Jewish Home & Care Center, Sarah Chudnow Community and most area synagogues. The guide will be available later this month at MJF’s website: MilwaukeeJewish.org/Seniors.
