The Milwaukee Jewish Federation will celebrate “Making a Mark on the World Together” at its 2015 annual meeting on Thursday, July 23, at Congregation Sinai, 8223 N. Port Washington Rd.
A reception with desserts and wine (dietary laws observed) begins at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7:15 p.m.
The meeting will include a presentation by Daniel Chefjec about anti-Semitism in Argentina, home of the largest Jewish community in Latin America, and about the bombings of the Israeli embassy in 1992 and the AMIA building in 1994 in Buenos Aires.
He will share his thoughts about the mysterious death this year of the federal prosecutor of the 1994 bombing and Argentine leaders’ alleged cover-up of Iran’s role in the bombings.
There is no cost, but RSVP is required at MilwaukeeJewish.org/AM2015 or 414-390-5700. Co-chairs are Barbara Glazer and Jordan Herbert.
