The Jewish Museum Milwaukee has scheduled six events in July and early August in conjunction with its exhibit “Chasing Dreams: Baseball & Becoming American.”
• “Inside the Brewers: With Debbie and Mark Attanasio” on Wednesday, July 8, 7 p.m., Rubenstein Pavilion, 1400 N. Prospect Ave.
An intimate discussion and Q & A session will be moderated by Brewers television broadcaster and national network personality Brian Anderson. Cost: $10 for JMM members, $25 for non-members; RSVP by July 5.
• “Let’s Play Ball! PJ Library Family Activities,” on Sunday, July 12, 10 a.m. at the JMM. For children 6 months-9 years.

• “There’s No Crying in Baseball” on Thursday, July 16, 10:30 a.m.
The All American Professional Girls Baseball League will be Dr. Elizabeth Matelski’s topic. Founded in 1943, the league was the first professional team sport for women. Cost: Free for members, $5 for non-members.
• “A League of Her Own: Joyce Westerman/Bob Kann Luncheon” on Friday, July 24, noon, at the Rubenstein Pavilion, 1400 N. Prospect Ave.
Joyce Hill Westerman played in the women’s league for nine years, including on the World Champion South Bend Blue Sox in 1952. She will share her story in a moderated conversation with her biographer, Bob Kann. Cost: $25 per person. RSVP by July 17.
• “A League of Their Own” film screening on Sunday, July 26, 1 p.m.
Two sisters join the first female professional baseball league and struggle to help it succeed amidst their own growing rivalry. With Geena Davis, Lori Petty, Rosie O’Donnell, Madonna and Tom Hanks. Released in 1992. Cost: Free with Museum admission.
• “If You Build It They Will Come” on Tuesday, Aug. 4. Dinner/derby at 5 p.m.; lecture at 7 p.m.
Events will include a preview of the Jewish Baseball Museum slated to open in Chicago in spring 2016 and a presentation by Jeff Aeder, Chicago-based businessman, philanthropist, owner of Milt’s and Jewish baseball aficionado. Program is free for members, $5 for non-members.
