JCC camp partners with Grinspoon Foundation

The Albert & Ann Deshur JCC Rainbow Day Camp, the day camp of Milwaukee’s Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, announced on April 1 its affiliation with JCamp180®.

A program of the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, JCamp180® seeks to support Jewish children’s camps across the country. It works onsite with staff and board leaders and offers support services to build long-term sustainability and growth.

Rainbow is one of 16 overnight and day camps that recently joined the JCamp180® program. These camps were chosen from more than three dozen applicants.

Over the past nine years, JCamp180® has contributed more than $13 million in matching grant funds and $11 million in consulting services to Jewish children’s overnight and day camps.

Jewish camp attendance has grown from 43,000 in 2004 to 70,000 campers across the nation today. At present, JCamp180® serves 115 camps.
