‘Deli Man’ documentary to be shown at Downer

          A 90-minute documentary film “Deli Man” will be opening at the Downer Theatre in Milwaukee on March 20.

          The film is produced and directed Erik Greenberg Anjou and is the third work in his trilogy about Jewish culture. His two others are “A Cantor’s Tale” (2005) and “The Klezmatics-On Holy Ground” (2010).

          “Deli Man,” released this year, tells the story of Ziggy Gruber, a third-generation delicatessen man, a Yiddish-speaking and French-trained chef who owns and operates Kenny and Ziggy’s in Houston, Texas.
