‘Holocaust and the Arts’ programs begin in March

Five community programs on “The Holocaust and the Arts” will be held in March-May.

The series is presented in collaboration with the Nathan & Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center.

Jodi Elowitz will give a keynote presentation on Wednesday, March 11, 7 p.m., at the JCC, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd. She will give an overview of the various types of art produced in the camps and ghettos; and will provide background on the artists who created these works.

In April and May, the series will feature three film screenings and a book discussion. Further details on these can be found in the April Chronicle or at HolocaustCenterMilwaukee.org.

All programs are free and held at the JCC, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd., Whitefish Bay.
