Milwaukeean Lorraine Hoffman was one of the five associate vice presidents elected at the Orthodox Union national convention held Dec. 26-28 in Tarrytown, N.Y.
According to an email she sent to The Chronicle, Hoffman also was an introducer for one of the convention’s featured speakers, Rachel Friedman, dean of Lamdinu of Teaneck.
Hoffman has been very active as an official and board member in Milwaukee’s Jewish community, working with organizations that include Lake Park Synagogue, Wisconsin Institute for Torah Study and the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
