Walter Reed was 14 and living in Germany when Kristallnacht, the Nazi German national anti-Jewish pogrom, occurred Nov. 9-10, 1938. He is now a member of the speakers’ bureau of the Illinois Holocaust Museum & Educational Center, and he is shown speaking about his memories during Milwaukee’s Kristallnacht commemoration on Nov. 9 in the Rubenstein Pavilion of the Jewish Home and Care Center.
