Chanukah at a wedding — The wedding of Lynn Jacobson and Jeff Gahr on Dec. 12, 1968, took place during the sixth night of Chanukah at what was then Congregation Beth Israel. Lighting the Chanukah menorah with them was CBI’s then spiritual leader Rabbi Joseph A. Gorfinkel (1909-1988). The photograph comes from the Jewish Museum Milwaukee archives. Chanukah this year begins on the evening of Dec. 16 and runs through Dec. 24.
