The Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center will be holding its annual community-wide Chanukah event on Sunday, Dec. 21, 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., at the JCC, 6255 N. Santa Monica Blvd.
Admission to the event is free. Food will be available for purchase.
The theme is “Exploring Hanukkah.” There will be five locations where children (open to all ages but primary target is 9 and under) can do activities that facilitate learning about the festival.
There also will be bounce houses, a Lenny Magic show and more.
The planning committee is comprised of members of multiple synagogues and agencies. The structure of the event is communal by nature. No one agency has its own booth. All of the activities are planned and staffed with volunteers of each synagogue and agency.
