The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Libraries has acquired a group of 78 eastern European Yiddish posters from the 1920s and 1930s, mostly announcing theatrical performances.
According to an article in the September 2014 UWM Report, this was “a partnership acquisition” with the Sam and Helen Stahl Center for Jewish Studies; and the collection “is intended mainly for teaching and research through the Center’s programs.”
The posters are kept in the libraries’ Special Collections and are available for use by the public, the article states.
