Two Wisconsin Reform congregations are now among the 58 such congregations across the country to receive grants to offer P J Library to local Jewish families.
Mount Sinai Congregation in Wausau announced that it had joined the program in its October 2014 synagogue bulletin. Beth Hillel Temple in Kenosha made a similar announcement on its website.
Both synagogues are among those listed on the Union for Reform Judaism’s website page about the program (urj.org/pjlibrary).
Through a partnership between the Union for Reform Judaism, the Women of Reform Judaism and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation, the participating synagogues can provide P J Library subscriptions for local families.
The P J Library, run by the Grinspoon Foundation, sends free, high-quality Jewish books every month to families raising Jewish children ages six months through eight years. As of 2014, the program sends more than 300,000 books to families throughout North America, Israel, Mexico and Australia as a gift from the Jewish community.
