A two-actor play “The Black-Jew Dialogues” will be performed on Wednesday, Nov. 12, 7 p.m., at Carroll University in Waukesha, 100 NE Ave.; and on Thursday, Nov. 13, 7 p.m., at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Union, 2200 E. Kenwood Blvd.
The play derives from the three days performers Ron Jones and Larry Jay Tish spent in a hotel room discussing their experiences, Jewish and black history and why the two groups became estranged.
The resulting play includes sketches, improvisations, puppets and a game show. It proved so successful that it inspired the creation of Dialogues on Diversity, according to the program’s website.
The presentation is co-sponsored by NAACP Waukesha and Hillel Milwaukee. Admission is free.
