“FriendsWalk”

The first benefit walk for the Friendship Circle was held Sept. 7, beginning at Ellsworth Park in Bayside. The Friendship Circle is a nonprofit that brings children and adults with special needs together with “typically-abled” volunteers from the Jewish community for one-on-one friendships and shared group activities. The walk brought together an estimated 550 participants, their families, volunteers and the broader community. The event raised some $68,000. Photo and information provided by Mendy Bronstein.
