Noted Jewish Argentine writer Ana María Shua will offer a bilingual reading of her short fiction, followed by a discussion of her work in the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s Golda Meir Library (2311 E. Hartford Ave.) on Thursday, Oct. 23, 6:30 p.m.
The event is co-sponsored by the UWM Department of Spanish and Portuguese and the UWM Libraries.
Shua has published more than 80 books in numerous genres, but she is particularly well-known in the Spanish-speaking world on both sides of the Atlantic as “the Queen of the Microstory.”
Her presentation forms part of a series on Jewish Latin America associated with the Jewish Latin America Collection at the UWM Libraries.
