A club-atmosphere jazz concert in memory of Joseph Aaron (1920-2013) — Milwaukee clarinetist, saxophonist, educator and frequent Jewish community performer — is scheduled for Saturday, Nov. 1, 5-8 p.m.
It will take place at the Helene Zelazo Center for the Performing Arts at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee.
The program will feature three jazz sets by Milwaukee area jazz artists, including flutist Rick Aaron, Joe Aaron’s son, and 13 others.
A cash bar and refreshments will be available. Suggested donation is $25 general, $5 for students. Proceeds will go to the Joe Aaron Scholarship Fund at UWM for Future Artists.
