Chai Point highlights music and movement

          Programs at Chai Point Senior Living in September will tend to focus on music and movement.

          The Smart Moves Healthy Learning Lecture series kicks off on Tuesday, Sept. 2, 1:30 p.m. Kari Reynebeau, Wellness Coordinator, presents “Balance and Fall Prevention.” There is no charge to attend.

          Starting Thursday, Sept. 4, 3 p.m., Danceworks! Inc. will be conducting monthly dance classes, entitled “The Dance Experience.” The style of dance will vary from month to month.           Musician and educator Rick Aaron returns to Chai Point for a three-part series highlighting the career of Leonard Bernstein beginning Friday, Sept. 5, 1:30 p.m., and continuing Friday, Sept. 12, and Friday, Sept. 19, 1:30 p.m.

          Rabbi Steve Adams of Congregation Emanu-El of Waukesha continues his Bible class on Monday, Sept. 8, and Monday, Sept. 22, 2:45 p.m. These two installments will focus on preparing for the High Holidays.

          On Thursday, Sept. 11, 3 p.m., veteran radio personality Dick Alpert gives an inside look into life in radio with his presentation “Behind the Mic.” Alpert is currently director of traffic network operations for Clear Channel Radio in Milwaukee and Madison.

          Classical pianist Frederick Moyer performs on Thursday, Sept. 18, 3 p.m.

          All programs and performances are free unless otherwise noted. Free parking is also available under the building at 1414 N. Prospect Ave.
