Sociologist Dr. Jack Nusan Porter will speak about “The German-Jewish Immigrant Experience in Milwaukee” in a program sponsored by the Goethe Society on Thursday, July 10, 7 p.m., at the Lake Park Synagogue, 3207 N. Hackett St.
He will also provide an update on the present Ukraine crisis and what it means for Jews.
Porter, a former Milwaukeean and University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee graduate, is presently a research associate at Harvard University in Russian studies and a former associate of the Harvard Ukrainian Research Institute.
