Varied offerings at Chai Point in June

          Chai Point Senior Living’s June offerings include programs of music and about comedy.

          On Monday, June 9, 1:30 p.m., Dr. Rachel Baum, professor of Jewish and Hebrew Studies at University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, will discuss “Jewish-American Comedy in Film and TV.” Comedians to be discussed include Woody Allen, Peter Sellers and George Burns.

          On Tuesday, June 10, 3 p.m., Chai Point welcomes the Piano Arts 2014 North American Piano Competition in conjunction with the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra.

          Twelve of North America’s best young pianists who have advanced as semifinalists will perform public solo and duo recitals for a world-renowned jury.

          Karen Levy and Peter Lee visit Chai Point on Sunday, June 29, 2 p.m., to perform folk music.

          All programs and performances are free. Free parking is also available under the building at 1414 N. Prospect Ave.
