Mound Zion Cemetery has recently launched searchable memorial pages and maps on its website to help searchers find the memories and histories of people buried there.
Each grave has been mapped in Google Maps. Visitors can submit information to share through these pages.
The cemetery administrators are also seeking information about the people there. According to a press release, cemetery administrator Stuart Stahl said interested participants may post obituaries, share messages, tell stories or upload photographs and videos.
“Together we can collect and preserve the history of our community,” he said in the release. “Every life has a story and should be remembered.”
