Madison Jewish artists exhibit to open May 1

The Madison Jewish Artists’ Laboratory will open an exhibit on Thursday, May 1, 7 p.m., at the Hillel Foundation University of Wisconsin-Madison, according to an announcement in the April Madison Jewish News.

The exhibit will run through May and June.

The MJAL is a program of the Covenant Foundation and is open to Madison Jewish artists and UW students. Its theme this year has been “light” as manifested in Jewish literature and art generally.

Also to be displayed, according to the article, are sketchbooks that are the product of collaboration by participants in the Jewish Artists’ Laboratories of the Upper Milwaukee, including artists in Madison and Milwaukee.
