The Madison chapter of Hadassah-The Women’s Zionist Organization of America will celebrate its centennial on Sunday, June 1.
According to an announcement in the April issue of the Madison Jewish News, the celebration will include dinner and entertainment.
As The Chronicle reported in the article about national Hadassah’s centennial in September 2012, the Madison chapter is one of the oldest in the country.
It was founded in 1914 by Rachel Szold Jastrow, the sister of national Hadassah founder Henrietta Szold. (Milwaukee’s chapter was founded in 1920.)
