Marlene Lauwasser, chair of the board of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation, will be among those honored by Cardinal Stritch University’s Alumni Association on Saturday, June 21.
Stritch hired Lauwasser in 1982 as an administrator for the Institute for Professional Development. She helped develop Stritch’s first adult degree programs. She oversaw accounting, curriculum formatting, advertising and marketing.
After 25 years with IPD, Lauwasser in 2005 transitioned to a role in University Advancement, where she garnered community support and funds for Stritch.
She retired from the university in 2010, but continues to serve. She assisted with the 2012 theater production of “Irena’s Vow” and currently is a member of the College of Business and Management advisory board.
The event will be held at the university’s Joan Steele Stein Center for Communication Studies/Fine Arts.
