Milwaukee Jewish Day School students from the junior kindergarten through the fifth grade spent six weeks exploring the history and culture of other countries, in a unit of study the school calls “Folk Fair.” The process culminated with a Shabbat Sing on Feb. 7 and the decorating of classrooms on Feb. 11 to resemble the country each grade studied. This photo from Feb. 7 shows junior kindergartners performing a Mexican folksong. Photo provided by Janaan Glass/MJDS.
