Jane Chernof began work on Feb. 17 as the program coordinator for the Create a Jewish Legacy program of the Jewish Community Foundation of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation.
She is responsible for cultivating, coordinating, implementing and supporting the program to develop new bequests and planned gifts to benefit the MJF, day schools, agencies and synagogues.
Chernof is a past employee of the MJF and of the Harry & Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center, where she served as assistant executive director. She also has served on the volunteer boards of the JCC, Jewish Museum Milwaukee and the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center.
As part of her recent volunteer work as an officer of the JCC, Chernof was in charge of implementing the JCC Legacy Program funded by a grant from the Harold Grinspoon Foundation.
