The Torah Academy of Milwaukee Jewish high school for girls will present a student-crafted interactive exhibit called “Manuscripts of Majesty” on March 2-4 at the school, 6800 N. Green Bay Ave.
The exhibit is devoted to the Five Megillot — the five books of the Bible read in the synagogue during specific Jewish holidays: Esther for Purim, Ecclesiastes (Kohelet) for Sukkot, Song of Songs for Passover, Ruth for Shavuot and Lamentations for Tisha B’Av.
Each megillah has a room devoted to it, illustrating the predominant themes of the books.
The exhibit is being mounted in memory and honor of Lauren Anton, who was a TAM parent and a teacher who taught classes on the megillot.
In addition, the theme of the exhibit is linked to the TAM dinner, scheduled for Sunday, March 9, 5:30 p.m., which also will commemorate Anton.
