Mark Bloom, a pianist and jazz artist in the Twin Cities who focuses on Jewish music, will be performing at Congregation Shalom on Friday, Jan. 10, in celebration of Shabbat Shirah (the Sabbath of Song).
Local musicians Rick Aaron and Norma Zahner will also participate. The service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
Congregation Shalom will honor Alvin “Dink” Holzman on Friday, Jan. 17, for his 20 years of teaching in the b’nai mitzvah program and in celebration of his 90th birthday.
All individuals who were tutored by Holzman or know him are invited to attend. The service will begin at 7:30 p.m.
