The Milwaukee County Board at its meeting on Nov. 7 issued a proclamation marking the 75th anniversary of Kristallnacht, the November 1938 national German Nazi pogrom. The board also honored Bonnie Shafrin (left), director of the Nathan and Esther Pelz Holocaust Education Resource Center, and Richard Lux (second from left) of the Richard Lux Library for Catholic/ Jewish Studies at Sacred Heart Seminary for their work in Holocaust education. Rabbi Jessica Barolsky (second from right), director of lifelong learning at Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun, gave the invocation.
