A day-long symposium on “The Jew and The Book: Latin American Jewish Writing” took place at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee on Oct. 23. The culminating event was held at UWM’s Golda Meir Library. It constituted a panel discussion on “Jewish Thought, Latin Flavor: Jewish Literature in Latin America” between featured guests Cuba-native poet José Kozer (left), Northeastern University Prof. Stephen Sadow (center) and (right) Marjorie Agosín, Chilean-American poet, fiction writer, essayist, activist and professor at Wellesley College.
