As it has done for the past eight years, Lake Park Synagogue participated in the Torah Tours program of Yeshiva University’s Center for the Jewish Future.
This program during this past Simchat Torah sent about 300 YU students and alumni to 60 communities across North America. The participants offer lectures and other programming for congregants of all ages.
A YU news release about Torah Tours recent activities quotes Rabbi Shlomo Levin, LPS spiritual leader, praising the program:
“We’ve had a wonderful time with Torah Tours. Every group of students has been tremendous. They add so much to the liveliness of our Simchat Torah hakafot and also bring new energy for the end of the holidays.”
