Hillel Milwaukee and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Student Association will be bringing to Milwaukee Rabbi Bob Alper and Palestinian American comedian Mohammed Amer for an installment of their “Laugh in Peace Tour.”
The event is scheduled to take pace Sunday, Nov. 3, 7 p.m., at the UWM Union Ballroon, 2200 E. Kenwood Blvd.
Alper is an ordained rabbi who served congregations for some 14 years. He also holds a doctorate from Princeton Theological Seminary. He has been a comedian for some 20 years and has performed all across North America and England.
Amer was born in Kuwait to Palestinian parents and came to the U.S. in 1990, when he was nine. He began doing standup comedy at age 14 and has since performed in nearly 30 countries.
