The German American Heritage Center of Davenport, Iowa, is displaying the Jewish Museum Milwaukee’s exhibit on Mildred Fish Harnack, the Milwaukee woman who was the only American civilian executed for resistance to the German Nazis during World War II.
The exhibit’s run there is Aug. 4-Nov. 3. It is sponsored by the Jewish Federation of the Quad-Cities and the Holocaust Education Committee of the Greater Quad-City Area.
Kelly M. Lao, assistant director of the center, reported in an email to JMM curator Molly Dubin that the center is “having a great response” to the exhibit.
The exhibit was displayed at the JMM in August-November 2011.
