Hours Against Hate receives two awards

Hours Against Hate, an initiative of the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation to combat hate on all levels, received two awards in October.

Lanex, MJF’s web developer for HoursAgainstHate.org, entered the website in the International Academy of the Visual Arts W3 Awards and received a silver award in the category of activism. The 2013 W3 Awards received over 4,000 entries from top companies and agencies worldwide.

The Jewish Federations of North America honored Hours Against Hate with a FEDovation Award. This year, the GA will spotlight five FEDovation projects, which are new and innovative programs recently pioneered by community federations.

These projects will be presented at the FEDovation breakout session at the JFNA’s General Assembly in Israel on Nov. 11. A total of 28 programs were submitted and almost 500 votes were cast in the online voting contest.
