The Mitzvah Corps, a group of youth volunteers that reach out to members of the community in need of a helping hand, is partnering with the Palay and Scheuer families for a Bowl-A-Thon fundraiser.
The event is scheduled for Sunday, Oct. 6, 3:30-6:30 p.m., at Brown Deer Lanes. Instead of competing on teams against each other, the 96 bowlers will work together to knock down as many pins as possible.
Pledge captains are asking for donations ranging from 1 cent per pin to $1 per pin. All of the proceeds will be used to assist families in need.
