‘Mengele twin’ to speak at WLC

Eva Mozes Kor, one of the few surviving “Mengele twins,” will speak in Milwaukee on Monday, Oct. 21, 7 p.m., at Wisconsin Lutheran College’s Center for Arts and Performance, 8815 W. Wisconsin Ave.

Eva and her twin sister Miriam were born in Romania. When they were ten, their family was taken to the Auschwitz, where their parents and other siblings were murdered, but they were subjected to “medical experiments” run by Dr. Josef Mengele.

They survived, and Eva went to Israel for ten years. She married another survivor and came to the U.S. in 1960. In 1984, she founded Children of Auschwitz Nazi Deadly Lab Experiments Survivors (CANDLES). She is also author of the book “Surviving the Angel of Death” with Lisa Rojany Buccieri.
