Milwaukeean Shawn Matson, assistant at the Jewish Community Relations Council of the Milwaukee Jewish Federation and a senior at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, was one of 15 students who participated in a Campus Leaders Mission to Israel.
This 10-day trip took place in August and was sponsored by the Anti-Defamation League.
The Jerusalem Post published an article on this project on Aug. 18. The article said Matson “harbors a strong affinity with Jewish culture and religion, although he is not Jewish.”
The article also quotes him saying, “This is my sixth day here and I never want to leave.”
