Tikkun Ha-Ir elects new officers

          James Hagen has become the fourth president of Tikkun Ha-Ir of Milwaukee. THI’s other officers include Vice President Laura Emir, Treasurer Joseph David Zaks and Secretary Reesa Gottschalk.

          Aviva Bergtrom, Ted Bobrow, Roger Carp, Roberta Forman, Miriam Horwitz, Cindy Levy, Tobey Libber, Samara Sofian and Neal Wallace are members at large.

          Synagogue delegates include Reenie Kavalar, Susan Ellman, Cindy Cooper, Paul Secunda, Naomi Cobb, Naomi Soifer and Ruth Ann Guthman. Rabbi Marc Berkson of Congregation Emanu-El B’ne Jeshurun continues to serve as rabbinical representative.

          THI’s mission is to encourage the Jewish community to build a more just Milwaukee through study, action and civic engagement. It is currently collecting and distributing fresh produce to food banks and meal sites through its Surplus Harvest project.
